We are not currently broadcasting. The broadcast environment is
very expensive. You need huge numbers of members, whose information you are willing to sell
to advertisers. Or, you have to bow to the content wishes of foundations. We only
had 65 members, all of whom we knew personally. I wouldn't sell them. I wouldn't
grow beyond what I could take care of individually. I wouldn't compromise on content.
Our members did not comprise a target market. They were regular people with real lives,
and I wasn't about to let commercialism pinch what they had to say. This community was about the emotional
bond in a broadcast environment.
However, society has its rules, and we broke a lot of them, but society had the last
word as of now. I had to close down for financial reasons. We will be back one day. All our beautiful equipment is in tact.
